About Jim Gorski:
Jim Gorski is Managing Director for the
Acquisition Integration practice at
Metavante Corporation. Jim’s
responsibilities include consulting with
clients on M&A strategies and
integration and consolidation efforts.
Prior to this role, he directed the
Sales and Service practice centered
around contact management, platform,
teller, and call center solutions for
Metavante. Specific solutions include
Enterprise Contact Management,
BankerInsight, TellerInsight and
Metavante Insight. This practice offers
system customization and implementation
management, workflow and business
process design and cross-system
integration.
Jim has 30 years of experience in the
financial services industry. He has
expertise in bank operations,
conversions, retail banking, and sales.
Jim has spent the past 20 years at
Metavante working in a variety of roles
with the sales and service team. He
served as the functional architect for
both Metavante’s Salespartner and
BankerInsight platform systems. He has
also led the Release Services team that
focused on software and training
delivery for Metavante’s branch
automation solutions including
Metavante’s BankerInsight and
TellerInsight software.
Jim has worked with a number of
Metavante clients to determine best
practice implementation of Metavante’s
sales and service solutions. These
clients range from $100 million to $25
billion in asset size and represent a
cross section of community banks,
savings banks, and large multi-bank
holding companies. Most recently, Jim
worked with a large New York bank,
managing its development and
implementation of Enterprise Contact
Management, BankerInsight and
TellerInsight.
Jim earned A.B. and M.A. degrees from
Marquette University in Milwaukee, where
he was selected Phi Beta Kappa. He also
completed the Graduate School of Banking
program at the University of Wisconsin.
About Ed Benkert:
Ed Benkert is an Engagement Manager
within Metavante’s Engagement Management
Consulting and Professional Services
Practice. He is recognized for his
breadth of knowledge in management, the
banking industry, and core system
applications. His experience consists of
staff and site management, acquisition
management, facilitations, project
management, general IT management and
banking operations. Ed’s skills and
expertise are leveraged to manage both
large and small staffs of consultants,
delivering quality projects to its
clients.
His current initiatives include the
management of business process
improvement engagements in both the pre
and post conversion customer
environments: maximizing technology
utilization, enhancing operational
efficiency, and creating an
infrastructure to support aggressive
growth. His efforts have lead his
clients to be more competitive in the
use of applications, increase efficiency
and have more customer-friendly
processes, while utilizing Ed as a
central line of communication to all
areas of Metavante for his clients.
Ed joined Metavante in 1996 as part of
the Metavante acquisition of their first
regional site in Parsippany, New Jersey.
Ed was the IT manager of Midlantic
National Bank, an $18 billion commercial
bank, and a Metavante licensed software
customer for Deposits and CSF. His
initiatives included bank consolidation
projects, conversion projects and the
integration of Metavante software into a
systems environment, including all
aspects of branch and back office
operations.
With over 20 years of experience in
banking operations, Ed’s expertise has
been used throughout his Metavante
career to meet the needs and
expectations of the client. Ed managed
the Bank of America development and
production support teams for three
years: highlighting the management of
the MRA project (90,000 hours of
development and winner of the
President’s Ovation Award) and their
transition to Year 2000 (80,000 hours of
development). During this time, two
additional regional sites (Lynchburg, VA
and Columbia, Maryland) were added to
the Metavante portfolio. Ed managed all
administrative and resource
responsibilities.
While reporting directly to the manager
of Professional Services, Ed supervised
the resource pool of over 200
consultants for a period of over two
years. During this time, he took on
additional responsibilities to manage
the operations aspects of Professional
Services including financial
forecasting, budgeting, and expense
management.
Ed earned his BS in Business
Administration and Economics from
Rutgers University.
